At Rosie, we love making yummy treats for family and friends. Growing up our mom would always be in the kitchen whipping up cookies, brownies, and her signature apple pies to put a smile on her friends and family faces! She has shared with us the importance of putting love and kindness into every dish we prepare. Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, we wanted to share a recipe that you could make with your family for Valentine's Day. I think we found the treat!!
A few weeks ago Krystle and I were brainstorming some fun and easy Valentine’s Day themed treats to share with you all on the website. I mentioned these white chocolate popcorn treats. We did a little research and found that the recipe was super easy and looked like a lot of fun! We had a splendid time making this recipe for you! May your kitchen be filled with laughter as you prepare this treat with or for your special valentine(s).
VALENTINE POPCORN CHEERFULNESS
(WHITE CHOCOLATE POPCORN)
PREP: 10 MINS TOTAL: 10 MINS
SERVING SIZE: 8-10 CUPS
INGREDIENTS:
12 ounces white chocolate
8 cups popped popcorn
1/2 tsp. salt
sprinkles
(optional) conversation hearts
DIRECTIONS:
Heat white chocolate on stove top on low until melted (you can also melt the chocolate in microwave).
Pop the popcorn either in the microwave, on the stove or in a popcorn maker, whichever is your signature way of making the best popcorn. Then cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the popcorn out evenly. Take the melted white chocolate and pour it slowly over each popcorn kernel. Gently toss the popcorn with a spachula until the popcorn is even coated with chocolate. Add a dash of salt. Then sprinkle with conversation hearts or any type of decorative sprinkle you like.
Let cool for a few minutes or eat them right off the baking sheet while still warm, yum!! Then find a cute bowl or valentine bag to gift to your valentines. Don't forget to keep some for yourself. You can keep this popcorn stored in airtight container for a week.
These are great fun to make and even more fun to eat! ;) Whip these up for your friends or your sweet Valentine(s)!
Don't forget to add the most important ingredients.....
A pinch of patience, a dash of kindness, a spoonful of laughter, and a heap of love.
