Spring shopping is about to get a whole lot happier on Sunday, April 19th! The brightest, happiest, print-iest collection is on it's way to a Target near you! Target has released their brand-new designer collaboration, and it has us swooning! We are so excited to announce that Lily Pulitzer has teamed up with Target to add a bit more color into your wardrobe for your Spring festivities!
All About That Juice
It all started with a juice stand..... In 1950, a young Lilly (only 21 at the time) eloped with Peter Pulitzer (whose grandfather was responsible for establishing the Pulitzer Prize). Lilly was a sassy socialite and New York native. Lilly and Peter decided to escape the hustle and bustle of New York for the sun and sand of Palm Beach, Fl. Peter owned a load of Florida citrous groves and Lilly was searching for a way to pass her sunny days. She opened a juice stand in downtown Palm Beach, FL. Lilly's very first design was created after needing something to wear to disguise the orange juice stains she was getting on her dresses. She designed a simple cotton shift dress full of bright patterns that would disguise any juice stains. Little did she realize that soon her designs would be the top selling item at the juice stands. Her dresses became the newest juice stand commodity and when the dresses sold out the juice, she expanded, establishing her line in 1959. Lilly's designs quickly became the fashion must have of many celeberites and she was affectionately referred to as the Queen of Prep!
Lilly For Target
Lily Pulitzer has been a fashion staple for us and we are tickled pink that Target will be featuring 250 items in stores and online. The limited edition collection includes everything from apparel (shift dresses, swimsuits, sandals) to home accents (candles, pillows, hammocks) and of course beach gear (towels, beach bags). Lily is known for her fun prints and has made 15 prints excluslively for Target. Plus, the prices are unbeatable, ranging from $25-$150. You will be able to give yourself a complete Lily makeover for Spring! Plus, this will be the first time that a Target designer collaboration will feature plus sizes! In preparation for the juiciest fashion trend, we've picked out a few of our must haves for our upcoming Spring Soirées.
