My favorite part of winter style is accessorizing with warm scarves. When styling a great winter look it’s important to focus on details. Scarves offer a great way to take on the lower temps while adding that extra pop of detail. A fluffy plaid scarf has the ability to take an outfit to the next level. You can add color and texture to your jeans and sweater look by adding a chic scarf.
There are dozens of ways to wear a scarf, and choosing the right style will make all the difference in making your outfit on trend. Today we've made a simple tutorial of our favorite way to wrap a scarf when we're on the go....
To begin pick your favorite snuggly scarf. I prefer a longer scarf that way you have lots of fabric to bundle up in.
Steps 1: Drape both ends of the scarf behind your neck
Step 2: Take the ends of the scarf and criss-cross them behind your neck
Step 3: Pull both ends in front of your chest
Step 4: Fluff, tuck and reposition both ends into the big loop. Easy peasy!
My outfit details: Plaid Scarf • Target (also craving this Blanket Scarf) I 'The Ankle Skinny' Jeans • Current/Elliott I Knee High Socks • Nordstrom I Sweatshirt • Xhilaration I Red Boots: 14 & Union (love these Hunter boots)
For the winter months I suggest wrapping the scarf snug around your neck. When the temperature warms then the scarf should loosen and drape around your neck. This look may change a bit depending on the fabric thickness and texture of your scarf.
What is your favorite way to style your winter wardrobe?
Hugs and Kisses,
