Your coffee table is a great way to express who you are. The way you stylize your table can speak multitudes of who you are and where you've been. Any interior decorator will tell you that your coffee table should be the centerpiece of your room. Many times we'll throw miscellaneous items on it as we walk in the door but allowing it to be a focal point can help clear up extra clutter. For me clutter equals more stress. Being able to have an organized space helps me be able to put my feet up and relax. For my coffee table (see picture) I like to decorate it with candles, trays and coffee table reads.
It can be overwhelming to style a coffee table that truly captures your sense of style. I've put together a small manual that can help guide you in creating a tablescape that will encourage you to invite your friends and family over and gather around to laugh, shares stories and relax.
Five easy steps to styling your coffee table:
Start with a tray. A tray is a great addition to your coffee table and doubles as a way to organize.
Add a candle. Candles are great way to bring a warm and inviting ambience into your space.
Put some decorative accents on your table that reflect your unique styles and they can lead to great conversations.
Set a couple books that are your favorite and reflect who you are. A great tip is to put books from places you traveled.
Add a splash of color by brightening your tablescape with beautiful flowers or greenery.
