Dreams Come True

As children face traumatic situations they need more than medicine.  We believe that by providing the resources to develop positive emotional support for children facing a broad range of challenging experiences, particularly those related to healthcare and hospitalization, we can enhance a child's ability to cope. When children are given opportunities to cope successfully with challenging experiences, they see themselves as more capable, more in control, and more reassured. This success often leads to a more positive sense of self, as well as a healthier regard for medical procedures in general. When children feel less fearful about their circumstances, they experience greater emotional well-being and less psychological distress. Therapeutic play intervention improves the child’s affect on, anxiety symptoms, level of distress, depression symptoms, regression, aggression, and fear. Therapeutic treatments are proven to increase treatment success and we are dedicated to providing this relief for children by creating a DREAM COME TRUE they will never forget. We work together with our partners to grant a Dream Come True for every eligible child. Our ROSIE gear and care packages allow us the opportunity to get to know these amazing kids personally and learn more about how we can make a difference.

Granting a Dream Come True is more than a charitable thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. A Dream Come True impacts everybody involved; dream kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For the Dream recipient Children, the simple act of making their dream come true gives them hope and the courage to be brave throughout their medical treatments. Along with children, parents are also given hope and the feeling that they can be optimistic. And others involved in the Dream Come True program are able to recognize their unique callings and all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
